TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrival at Munnar and all day tour

Our executive will pick you up from the airport/railway station and drive you to Munnar. Once you are in Munnar, you can check in at the hotel and freshen up before heading out. Start the tour enjoying a majestic and mesmerizing view of Munnar from Mattuppetty Dam. The dairy farm located nearby will show you more about the lifestyle and livelihood of people in Munnar. Next, head to Attukad Waterfalls and Lakkom Waterfalls and have some fun playing in the water. Kundala Lake is another pristine and peaceful place to spend time at.

Day 2 All day tour at Munnar

Needless to say, Munnar is replete with hills that are perfect to do some trekking. Meesapulimala, Echo Point, Top Station are all hills that offer your stunning sceneries all through the trekking and also from the summit. Eravikulam National Park is home to thriving wildlife, making it a must-visit. While in Munnar, make sure to watch up close what forms a major source of business. Drop by at the Tata Tea Plantation and watch how the leaves are plucked, processed and packed, before taking a walk through the plantation.

Day 3 Arrival at Kumarakom and all day tour (4 hours – 153 kms)

As you will be driven to Kumarakom, you will see the hills being replaced by backwaters and beaches. There is no better way for you to start this trip than taking a houseboat ride in the Vembanad Lake. This ride will also give you glimpses of the rustic charm of rural life. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is another popular place thronged by tourists. Kumarakom is also home to a unique museum – the Bay Island Driftwood museum. The artifacts in this museum are made of driftwood or any kind of wood sourced from water. In certain beaches in Alleppey, activities like parasailing, surfing etc. take place. Pathiramanal Island is another must-visit in Kumarakom. The island is home to an amazing variety of flora and fauna and also has a natural aquarium.

Day 4 Arrival at Alleppey and all day tour (54 minutes – 33 kms)

Although Alleppey is more famous for its backwaters, the town also has a wide variety of experiences to offer. There are beaches to chill. For those looking to have a spiritual time, there are temples like the Ambalapuzha temple and Mannarassala Sri Nagaraja Temple. The churches in Alleppey, too, are popular and stand out for their architecture. Karumadikuttan, the remains of a black statue of Buddha also make for an interesting visit, to learn more about the role of Buddhism in Kerala. For those interested in history, the Krishnapuram Palace built by Marthandavarma, which has now been converted into a museum, makes for an informative visit.
