Thalassery Fort , Thalassery

One of the historic tourist attractions in Kerala, the glorious Thalassery Fort was one of the initial forts constructed by the East India Company. Following the arrival of the British force in Thalassery in 1683, they acquired permission from the Kolathiris rulers to construct a fort in a small hillock called Tiruvellapadkunnu. Thus, the Thalassery Fort came into existence!

Strategically built, the location and architecture of the Thalassery Fort makes it almost invincible! It also has a network of hidden tunnels, high impounding doors, underground chambers, and lot more.
