Mannarasala Temple, Allepey

Mannarasala Temple is the most sacred temples for the devotees of ‘Nagaraja’ (the Serpent God)! Located in the Haripad locality in Alleppey, it is one of the unique and most devout pilgrimage sites in Kerala. The temple is nestled amidst thick and evergreen forest areas, and the way to the main complex is dotted with numerous images of the serpents.

Mostly visited by women seeking fertility, the Mannarasala Temple is known for many reasons. It is believed that bringing new images of the snakes to this temple bestows women with children. The temple also offers a holy paste that is believed to have curative abilities and powers.
